My face hurts a little...coz I've been grinning like a fool since reading your opening line. 'when the tooth fairy was my biggest benefactor' - 😂 😂 😂! We didn't have Campinos (still don't), but god bless my mother's calcium-rich genes because I know I spent some tooth-fairy money on far too many sweeties. My first CDs were Sheryl Crow Tuesday Night Music Club + Pearl Jam Versus...purchased on the same rainy day at Musica. Cool story...but that's only coz I'm older...there were plenty of illegally copied Technotronic tapes in primary school!

You're so right about the contrast between your first music purchases and your first wine purchases. Embarrassing or not, I'm proud of the music. The wine...less so.

What a great read! Thanks for the aching cheeks!

Haha, the tooth fairy was always very generous! Shame you didn't have Campinos but better not to have had your heart broken when they were discontinued.

I like your first CDs there, do you still go back and listen to them? Glad you enjoyed the read, hope your cheeks have recovered!

Pearl Jam - sometimes...but I rarely get through the full album. However, when I randomly hear the songs you can bet that I have the cockiest look on my face as I sing along to every word (and instrumental) 😂.

Oh wow. I'm not sure what I'm more nostalgic for -- Junior Senior or Campinos!

We were belting out one hit wonder 'I love to love' by Tina Charles the other day- total nostalgia! Sometimes it just has to be done and there's absolutely no shame in it. On the contrary, it gives us the warm, fuzzy glow that a decent wine does. I'm currently enjoying that warm feeling, as from 1997! Keep on writing........love your posts.

You’re not the only one - top YouTube comment on that song is ‘who’s here in 2024’! That warm fuzzy feeling cannot be beaten!

Oh my goodness, I can't believe I still know all the words to "Move Your Feet". Thank you for that little dose of nostalgia. And I'm with you about the wine sales bros that grew up drinking '82 Lafite - some of us were drinking Ménage à Trois rosé, and it shows.

Glad to have been your nostalgia dispensary for the day. I’ve never heard of Ménage a Trois rosé until now, but I’m curious to find it!

Available at a grocer near you. :) If I remember correctly, this is what I drank while watching THE STING for the first time...
